EXAMINATION & PROMOTION POLICY

The academic year is divided into two semesters with continuous and comprehensive evaluation system of assessment.
Semester I : April-October
Semester II : November-March
The student will be assessed all round the year.

Classes I-V is five point grade scale with no pass or fail system.

Promotion from classes VI-IX to the next class is based on the results of two semesters on a nine point grade scale which will be derived from the scores obtained. A student who secures minimum D grade will be promoted to next higher class.
A1 – 91 – 100%
A2 - 81 – 90%
B1 - 71 – 80%
B2 - 61 – 70%
C1 - 51 – 60%
C2 - 41 – 50%
D1 - 33 – 40%
E1 - 21 – 32%
E2 – 20 and below
Class I-II : The detailed assessments will be conducted twice in a semester for which schedule will be given from time to time.
Class III-X (*FA1 & FA3 will be regular assessments conducted during regular periods)
Semester I
*Formative I (10%)+ Formative II(10%)+ Summative I (30%)
Semester II
*Formative III (10%) + Formative IV(10%) + Summative II (30%)
Class X Pre Board =100%
Class XI
Term I
Unit test (15%) + Term exam (35%) = 50%
Term II
Unit test (15%) + Term exam (35%) =50%
Class XII
Unit test (15%) + Term exam (35%) = 50%
Pre Board I= 100%
Pre Board II = 100%

Students must have 75% attendance record to be eligible to write the examination in each semester / term. For Board classes annual attendance will be taken into account.

Students found cheating or using unfair means during examination may be debarred from the examination.

During examinations leave will not be granted except on medical ground for which medical certificate has to be produced.
